Many older IB bungalows near Seacoast Drive sit on small lots with little or no off-street parking, so we often stage the truck curbside on a narrow street and carry longer. We plan the truck spot and parking early so a move doesn't block a one-lane beach block.

A block or two off the Pacific, blowing sand and salt-air moisture are constant. We shrink-wrap and pad upholstery and wood, and mind sandy entryways and exterior stairs on load-in and load-out, coastal exposure is part of the plan, not a surprise.

IB's dense grid of duplexes, cottages, and walk-up apartments means alley loading, shared driveways, and outdoor staircases. A full-size van may not fit near the door, so we scout alley access and shuttle with dollies to keep the job moving.

With most of the city renting and a strong beach-rental presence, IB sees heavy move-in and move-out turnover on scheduled windows. Efficient apartment crews are what hit a landlord's move-out deadline without a second trip.

Imperial Beach is the southernmost beach city on the West Coast, a small, dense coastal community of bungalows, cottages, and beach apartments packed onto narrow streets between the Pacific and San Diego Bay. It's a renter's town, roughly two-thirds of homes are rented, so move-in and move-out turnover is constant and the clock on a landlord's move-out window is real.
The housing is modest and coastal: smaller older single-family homes, duplexes, walk-up apartments and townhomes, plus newer multi-story condos concentrated near Seacoast Drive, the oceanfront street. That mix means alley loading, shared driveways, and exterior staircases are common, and a full-size van often can't get close to the door, so a crew that scouts the alley and shuttles with dollies beats one that guesses.
IB is also a well-known off-base rental market for Naval Base Coronado, up the Silver Strand, so short-notice and PCS moves are part of the rhythm, and our military page is built for them.
