Pool Table Movers in San Diego
A pool table is really two moves: furniture, and three pieces of stone that crack if they're carried wrong. Rolling a table across a room can break the frame; moving one across town without disassembly almost guarantees it. Our crews take the table apart, move the slate flat and padded, and put it back together level at the other end.
Gorilla Movers moves pool tables across San Diego properly, which means disassembly: a slate table is furniture plus three pieces of stone that crack if carried wrong. The slate comes off, travels on edge, and the table is rebuilt, re-leveled, and re-felted at the destination. Rolling a table across a room can break the frame, and moving one across town without taking it apart almost guarantees damage. Any mover who offers to carry it whole is telling you something. Call 619-600-5000.
What a proper pool table move includes
Why 'the movers said they could just carry it' goes wrong
One-piece slate tables are rare; most three-piece slates weigh 150 to 250 lbs per piece and are seated on a wood frame that isn't built to be carried loaded. Tipping a assembled table to get through a door twists the frame, pops the slate seams, and turns a great table into a wobbly one forever.
Coin-op and bar tables are their own animal, one-piece slate in a cabinet, and they move differently. Tell us which kind you have and we'll bring the right plan.
Part of a bigger move, or the only item
If the table is part of your household move, flag it in the quote form's heavy-items box and it gets planned into the day. Table-only moves, bought one on Facebook Marketplace, splitting a household, moving the man cave, are quoted as a single specialty job with pickup and delivery on the same call.

“Joseph, Ricardo, and Ram did an incredible job. They helped us move all of our stuff into a Pod/packrat container. They finished in less than 2 hours, moving dozens of boxes, bulky furniture, and did it smoothly and safely. We were very impressed at their space management and their speed. I'd definitely recommend going with Gorilla movers (and asking for them by name if possible) for a no-nonsense, professional move experience.”

“Gorilla movers did a fantastic job moving my mother in Oceanside. Raul was incredible. From the moment he arrived, he was very strategic in how he would complete the job. I had doubts with all of the stuff we had but trusted his knowledge and experience and he exceeded our expectations! They take care of your items, asked a lot of questions and consistently checked in on if there was anything else they could help with. Raul, not sure if we could have done this move without you!! Thank you so much and than you Gorilla movers!! -Jackie, Marty, and Liz”
