Junk Hauling & Removal San Diego

The last hurdle of any move is the stuff that is not coming with you. Gorilla Movers hauls it: move-out cleanouts, donation runs, e-waste, and the couch nobody wants, handled by the same uniformed crews that run our moves.

Move-out cleanouts across San Diego

When a lease ends or a sale closes, the property has to be empty, not almost empty. We clear apartments, houses, garages, attics, and storage units down to broom-ready, so your final walkthrough or deposit inspection is not held hostage by a futon and six bags of miscellaneous.

The most efficient version is combining hauling with your move: our crew loads what is coming with you, then clears what is not, in one visit. Estate cleanouts and downsizing projects get the same treatment, with patience for keep-or-toss decisions made in real time.

Donation runs and responsible disposal

We are movers first, so the default for usable furniture and household goods is a donation run to local San Diego charities, with a receipt when the center provides one. Metal, cardboard, and appliances are routed to recycling where possible, and the landfill is the last resort, not the plan.

Because our crews work inside occupied homes every day, hauling with us does not look like a demolition job. Floors get protected, walls stay unscuffed, and items leave your home the same careful way your furniture does on a move.

What we take, and what we cannot

Furniture, mattresses, and box springs
Appliances, from mini fridges to full laundry sets
E-waste such as TVs, monitors, and computers, disposed of under California rules
Exercise equipment, patio furniture, and grills
Boxes of household goods, garage clutter, and yard debris
Not accepted: hazardous waste, wet paint, chemicals, and propane tanks, which belong at a county household hazardous waste facility, and we will point you to the nearest one

Why hire a moving company for junk removal in San Diego

Since 2008 we have completed more than 25,120 moves, and hauling grew out of what customers kept asking for at the end of them. You get background-checked employees, never day labor, a BBB A+ rated company, and the same live-tracking text on service day that our moving customers get. Five dollars from every job still goes to the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund.

FAQ

Junk Hauling questions, answered.

Can you haul the same day I move?
Yes, and it is the most efficient way to do it. The crew loads your move, then clears the leftovers in the same visit, so you hand over keys to an empty property without scheduling a second company.
Do I get a receipt for donated items?
When the donation center issues one, we pass it along. Usable furniture and household goods go to local San Diego charities first, which is better for your taxes and better than a landfill.
Can you take old TVs and electronics?
Yes. TVs, monitors, computers, and other e-waste are handled under California disposal rules rather than tossed in a bin. Any disposal fees involved are itemized on your quote, not discovered later.
Do I need to be home for a junk pickup?
Not necessarily. If the items are accessible and we have agreed on exactly what goes, many customers leave a garage open or a key with a neighbor. Photos ahead of time keep everyone aligned.
What will my cleanout cost?
Price follows labor time and how much truck space the load fills, plus itemized disposal fees and fuel. Send photos to 619-600-5000 and we will give you a realistic estimate before anyone drives anywhere.
What items will you refuse?
Hazardous materials: chemicals, wet paint, propane tanks, and similar. San Diego County runs household hazardous waste facilities for exactly those items, and we will tell you where to take them.
