Installation to your engineered drawings
California is seismic country, which is why racking here is engineered, anchored and often permitted rather than simply bolted together. We install uprights plumb, beams level, and anchors torqued to the values on your approved drawings. Wire decking, row spacers and column protectors go in as part of the job, not as an afterthought.
If your project requires permits for racking or high-piled storage, we work from the stamped plans and coordinate with your engineer of record or permit expediter so the inspector sees exactly what was approved. We will not improvise a layout in the field, because improvised steel is how warehouses fail inspections.

Rack comes down the way it went up, in reverse. Decking first, then beams, then uprights, with an exclusion zone around the work so your team keeps operating in the rest of the building. Racking must be empty before we touch it, and we can move the inventory off it first as part of the same project.
When the steel is down, we pull anchors, patch and seal the holes, and sort hardware for reuse or recycling under California disposal rules. You get a floor that is ready for new racking or a lease-end walkthrough, not a slab full of stubs and grout craters.

Damaged rack, inspections, and load capacity
Pallet rack in an operating warehouse takes hits. A forklift catches an upright, a beam gets loaded past its rating, a column gets a kink nobody reports, and the structure quietly stops being the thing the engineer signed off on. Damaged rack is the most common serious hazard in a warehouse and it is also the easiest to walk past for months.
The rule worth knowing is that damaged structural components get replaced, not straightened. A bent upright that has been pulled back into shape has lost capacity that cannot be restored and cannot be measured by looking at it, and welding a repair onto a cold-formed steel column changes its behavior under load. We replace damaged uprights, beams, and footplates with matching components, add column protectors and guard rail where traffic patterns are causing the damage, and tell you plainly when the right answer is replacement rather than repair.
Load capacity is the other thing that drifts. Rack is rated per beam level and per bay at a specific beam spacing, so moving beams to a different height changes the capacity, and reconfiguring a bay for taller pallets can quietly cut what it is rated to carry. Capacity plaques are required and they have to reflect the configuration the rack is actually in, which is frequently not what the plaque says after a few years of adjustments. When we relocate or reconfigure racking we work from your engineered drawings so the finished layout matches what was approved and the plaques match the build.

We can tell you what you have, what condition it is in, what is missing, and whether it suits the pallet sizes and the flow you are planning, which is worth knowing before your first inbound container arrives rather than after.
