Moving to or from Meridian Condominiums

High-rise moves at Meridian Condominiums come down to the elevator window and the loading plan — both of which our crews handle in Marina District, Downtown San Diego every week.

Moving here?

Our crews move residents in and out of downtown San Diego's condo towers every week — HOA move packets, COIs naming the association and its management company, and reserved elevator windows are standard practice, not surprises. Elevator reservations, COIs, and building protection are all standard with every booking.

01 · The building

What you're moving into

Meridian Condominiums is a condo tower — 28 stories and completed in 1985 — in Marina District, Downtown San Diego. The homeowners association is managed by its own on-site association staff. You'll find it at 700 Front Street, San Diego, CA 92101, with I-5 via the Front Street and First Avenue couplet and SR-163 from 10th Avenue carrying most move-day traffic in and out.

A white-glove building with roughly 40 on-site staff — the service elevator and loading time get reserved directly with the front desk. Front Street is one-way southbound feeding the freeway, so trucks approach from the north; Campus at Horton construction adds traffic on G Street.

02 · Access

The load-in plan

Parking here, as publicly listed: attached secured resident garage; concierge and valet-level service with on-site management, engineer, and maintenance staff. That shapes where the truck stages — we confirm the approach during the quote rather than improvising at the curb.

Because this is an elevator building, treat the elevator window as the spine of the move: reserve the earliest slot the office offers, tell us its length, and we size the crew to clear it with margin. Pads and door protection go up before the first box rolls.

03 · Checklist

Line these up two weeks out

  • Confirm your community's move-in/move-out rules and hours with the leasing office
  • Get the HOA move packet: allowed hours, deposits, and insurance limits (COIs usually name both the association and its management company)
  • Send us the COI requirements — we return the certificate at no charge, usually within one business day
  • Reserve the elevator (with pads) for the longest window offered
  • Ask about garage clearance — box trucks rarely fit, so plan a surface staging spot
  • Reserve parking or ask about a designated loading area for the truck
  • Label boxes by room and set aside a first-night box that rides with you
  • Schedule utilities and internet so they overlap your move date by a day on each side
04 · Timing

Crew notes: Marina District

Book a weekday morning if you can — downtown curb space and building slots go first, and event-day traffic can pin a truck for an hour.

Coming from outside the area, I-5 via the Front Street and First Avenue couplet and SR-163 from 10th Avenue are your approach routes; we route trucks around the worst of the rush hour when the window allows.
