We stage smaller vehicles and plan the carry path rather than hoping for a space.
The bluff lots bring the other problem. A house that presents as single-story from the road often drops two or three levels toward the ocean, which means the heaviest pieces travel down stairs rather than along a hallway. That is a crew-size and time question, and it is the main reason two similar-looking Del Mar homes quote differently.
Then there is the calendar. The race meet runs from July into early September and it changes the whole town: traffic on Via de la Valle and Jimmy Durante, parking pressure, and event days that are simply bad days to move. We will tell you which dates to avoid rather than book you into one and bill the extra hours.

Homes this close to the water need a different standard of protection. Sand tracked across a floor under a loaded dolly is how hardwood gets scratched, so floors get papered and runners go down at both properties before the first item moves. Upholstery and art get wrapped and sealed rather than left open in a truck that is opening and closing in salt air all day.
If your things are going into storage between homes, coastal humidity is a real consideration rather than an upsell. Art, antiques, leather, and instruments belong in climate-controlled storage, and we will say so.
Do you handle beachfront homes with stair-only access?
Yes, and they are common enough here that we size crews for it as a matter of course. A long stair carry is not a reason to charge a stair fee, which we do not have. It is a reason to send more people so the job finishes in a day and nothing gets dropped by a tired crew at hour nine.
